Obituary of Robert Ward III

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
God by way of a motorcycle accident in the early hours of November 11, 2012 claimed the life of Robert James "RJ" Ward, III. Born on August 9, 1987 he was the only child of Robert "Bobby" Ward and Karis J Langston. From the moment he was born he filled our lives with excitement and joy, never walking but going straight from crawling to running. As a young man he lived life the same way, always on the go looking for the next big adventure. RJ was a fun loving man who could bring a smile or laugh to any situation. He was never too busy to help his friends when they needed him. He graduated from Georgetown High School in 2006 and went on to become an auto mechanic, currently employed by Mr. Tire in Merrillville, Indiana. He loved to hunt, fish, ride dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, and spent many happy hours playing his guitar for family and friends. He loved the Lord, was baptized and a member of Screven Baptist church in Georgetown, SC. RJ was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William C Jenkins whom he loved, admired greatly, missed and spoke of often and his step-grandparents, Thomas and Eunice Langston whom he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, RJ is survived by his children, Gavin James and Peyton Kay of Georgetown, and Riley Madison of Kingsport, TN; his sister, Shannon LeeAnn of Jonesborough, TN; his step-parents, Kevin Langston (Karis) of Georgetown and Jamie Rauch (Bobby) of Georgetown; a step-brother, Wayne Estes (Rebecca)of Herington, KS; paternal grandparents, Robert and Eva Ward of Georgetown; maternal grandmother, Grace Jenkins of Hobart, IN; three step-nephews, Jackson, Emmitt and Kylar Estes of Herington, KS, and a step niece, Brianna Estes of Herington, KS; several uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 16, 2012 in Screven Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Johnson and Rev. Brad Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday at Graham Funeral Home. Memorial may be made to Screven Baptist Church, PO Box 2776, Georgetown, SC 29442 or to First Baptist Church, 219 Cleland St. Georgetown, SC 29440. Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements and condolences may be sent to www.grahamfuneralhome.org.
