Obituary of William Ronald Cameron

William Ronald “Billy” Cameron, 82, husband of Linda Ray Cameron, passed away May 25, 2024 in his home. The Cameron family will receive friends 6-8pm Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Cameron’s service will be held 11am Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in the sanctuary of Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Good Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born April 16, 1942 in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late William Jessie Cameron and the late Annie Goude Cameron. Mr. Cameron was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist church and an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired from Georgetown Steel after 32 years of service. Mr. Cameron enjoyed cars, but more especially, his corvette, jeep and old black truck. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 62 years are one daughter, Letitia Cameron Yates and her husband Mike of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Lauren Yates of Surfside, Lindsay Cameron of Greer, and Cameron Yates of Georgetown; three brothers, Terry Cameron and his wife Dorothy of Georgetown, Charles Cameron of Pawleys Island, Michael Cameron and his wife Diane of Murrells Inlet; and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cameron was predeceased by a son, Craig Cameron; a brother, Paul Cameron; a nephew, Gregg Cameron; a sister in law, Felicia Cameron; father in law David W.
