Carla Suzanne Tharpe passed away Monday July 31, 2023 in Grand Strand Hospital.
Born September 21, 1961 in Charlotte, NC, she was a daughter of the late Carl Richard Rudisill and the late Nancy Holshouser Welch. She was a graduate of Queens College of Charlotte and was employed for over 35 years as a nurse. Carla was passionate about taking care of people and loved to make her friends, family and patients smile. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and tending to her many house plants.
Surviving are two sons, Craig Burton (Faleska) of TN, Kyle Burton (Courtney) of TX; three grandchildren; her fiancée, Roy Jennings of Myrtle Beach; one sister, Juliana Gregory(Rusty) of Georgetown; one nephew, William Gregory, Jr.; one stepsister, and a number of extended family.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
