Obituary of Alice Faye Harrelson Carl

Alice Faye Harrelson Carl, wife of Joe Carl, passed away Thursday. May 11, 2023 in Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. A graveside funeral service, officiated by Pastor Tommy Earl Barnhill, will be held Saturday May 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Born July 12, 1946 in Bucksport, she was a daughter of the late Leland Saltas Harrelson and the late Susan Owens Harrelson. Mrs. Carl was a retired assistant manager for lunch rooms with the Georgetown County School System. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved roller skating, water skiing, and shopping at Belk’s. Surviving in addition to her husband of 59 years are two sons, Stevie Carl and his wife Lisa of Georgetown, Matt Carl and his wife Shay of Florence: Five grandchildren, Kathleen “KayKay” Carl of Georgetown, Tyler Carl of Georgetown, John Allen Carl of Georgetown, Leland Carl of Florence, and Eli Carl of Florence; one great-grandson, Christopher Carl of Myrtle Beach; one brother, Donnie Harrelson and his wife Jennifer of Georgetown; one sister, Teresa Christian of Murrells Inlet; and a number of extended family and friends.
