Obituary of Lillian Braswell

Lillian M. Braswell, known by many as Nanny or Ms. B., departed this life on Thursday, September 20, 2012. She was born in Decatur County, GA on July 17, 1920 where she resided until moving to live with her daughter in Georgetown in 1982. She worked at the Ball and Que Restaurant and retired from door greeting at Wal-Mart in 2010 at the age 89. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Brinson, GA but attended First Baptist Church of Georgetown. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia B. Martin of Georgetown, 2 grandchildren Greg Martin and Marisa M. Cooper of Georgetown. She is also survived by four great grand children; Tori Bowers (Robert) and Keith Martin both of Charleston and Madison Cooper and Jarrett Cooper both of Georgetown. Completing her 5th generation are Brayden Bowers and Everette Bowers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Decatur County, GA and Seminole County, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, RA Braswell; eldest granddaughter, Dee Dee Martin; and son in law, Milton Martin Visitation will be held from 1PM – 2PM Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Graham Funeral Home directly followed by a funeral service at 2PM. Burial will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Brinson, GA on Monday. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440 or to First Baptist Church Keyboard Fund, 219 Cleland St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
