Obituary of Michael Vernon Cook

Michael V. Cook, 62, husband of Donna H. Cook, passed away at Medical University of South Carolina on Saturday, July 9, 2022. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11AM at Lakewood Baptist Church. Burial in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will immediately follow the funeral service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Graham Funeral Home from 6PM-8PM. Mr. Cook was born in Georgetown, SC to the late Lloyd and Wilma Cook. He was a graduate of Howard High School and retired from the City of Georgetown Water Department. In his free time, Mr. Cook enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a beloved husband, father, and brother who treasured his family and will be dearly missed. Mr. Cook is survived by his wife of 29 years; a son, Chris Cook (Dillon) of Georgetown, SC; two brothers, Jimmy Cook and Rodney “Nelson” Cook; two sisters, Wanda Teeter of Andrews, SC and Donna Richardson (Rob) of Georgetown, SC; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
