Obituary of Jasper Henderson Johnson, Jr.

Jasper “Jay” Henderson Johnson, Jr., 70, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at his home. A graveside funeral service will be held in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10AM. Jay was born in Georgetown, SC on December 18, 1951 to the late Jasper Henderson Johnson, Sr. and the late Betty U. Johnson. He was a 1971 graduate of Winyah High School where he played on the golf team. He ran an insurance business in Georgetown County for several years and enjoyed fishing and golfing in his free time. Golf was a passion for Jay and he enjoyed sharing his love for the game while spending time with friends and family on the course. Jay is survived by his cousins, Ray Johnson and his wife Sandra of Georgetown, Amy Reale of Myrtle Beach, Claude Milton Parsons Jr. and his wife Bethany of Murrells Inlet; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, an uncle, Jimmy Johnson, and an aunt Helen Johnson. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.org.
