Dustin Wilson Foxworth, 41, loving husband of Sissy Owens Foxworth, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Foxworth’s family will receive friends Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 5542 Carvers Bay Road, Hemingway, SC 29554. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 13, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the church. Dustin’s wishes were that people attending his service dress casual in University of South Carolina Gamecock colors.
Born August 7, 1980, in Georgetown, he was a son of Dexter Alan Foxworth, Sr. and Jo Anne Wilson-Foxworth. Dustin was a 1998 graduate of Georgetown High School. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Dustin volunteered as a football and baseball coach for Georgetown County Recreation Department and was an avid University of South Carolina Gamecock fan. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and playing with his two dogs, Coco and Clifford. One of Dustin’s biggest joys was spending time with his wife, children, family, and friends on Black River.
In addition to his wife of 12 years and his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Hallie Foxworth; and a son, Cody Foxworth; one brother, Dexter Alan Foxworth and his husband, Dorian Dennis of Mt. Pleasant; paternal grandmother, Wilma Tanner Foxworth of Hemingway; father and mother-in-law Billy and Sally Owens of Hemingway; two brothers-in-law, Clay Owens and his wife Suzie of Hannah-Pamplico, Luke Owens and his wife Kelly of Hemingway; two nieces, Payton and Baylee Owens of Hemingway; godparents Dennis and Judy Loadholt of Georgetown; a godsister Jennifer Loadholt Moore and her husband Al of Savannah, Georgia; and a number of extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hallie and Cody Foxworth’s education fund at Georgetown Kraft Credit Union.
