Obituary of Elsie Grier Davis

Elsie Mae Grier Davis, 92, widow of William Dewey Davis, passed away on November 29, 2021 at her home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 1PM at Screven Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12PM-1PM. Interment in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the service. Mrs. Davis was born on March 1, 1929 in Georgetown County to the late Sammie Benjamin Grier and the late Clara Mae Moore Grier. Mrs. Davis was an active member of Screven Baptist Church and the Deborah Sunday School Class. She enjoyed yardwork, shopping, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Davis is survived by one son, Randy Davis of Georgetown, SC; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Lena Mae West of Hemingway, SC; and a number of neices and nephews including a special niece, Wendy West also of Hemingway, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, William Dewey Davis, Jr.; three brothers, Sammie B. Grier Jr., Winston Raymond Grier, and Marion Dennis Grier, a sister in law Esther Grier and a brother in law Roddy G. West. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.org.
