Obituary of Barbara Bazen Jayroe

Barbara Jean Bazen Jayroe, 65, widow of William Thomas Jayroe, passed away on October 23, 2021 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 2PM at Graham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service from 12PM-2PM. Mrs. Jayroe was born in Georgetown, SC on July 15, 1956 to the late Walter LeRoy Bazen and the late Betty Fenters Bazen. She was a graduate of South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind. Mrs. Jayroe loved shopping, pop culture, and had a wicked sense of humor that kept her friends and family constantly laughing. She was one of a kind and her effervescent personality entertained all those who loved her. If she welcomed you into her fold, you were loved and cherished like her own family and all those around her were better for having her in their lives. She loved animals and joking with her friends and family but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her granddaughter, Mia. Although she will be dearly missed, her family takes some solace in her being reunited with the man of her dreams, her husband “Buddy”. Mrs. Jayroe is survived by her beloved son, Jamie and his wife Jessica of Georgetown; her treasured granddaughter, Mia Jayroe of Georgetown; one sister, Mary Frances "Frankie" Bazen Nance of Andrews; two brothers, Barry Bazen and his wife Dianne of Yauhannah and Wayne Bazen of Andrews; and one “impossible” sister, Irene Cooper Johnson and her husband Bill of Rhems; four nephews, Terry Bazen and his wife Tammy of Griffin, Georgia, Hunter Nance and his wife Olivia of Andrews, D.J. Nance of Murrells Inlet and Donnie James Nance II; two nieces, Asia Ackerman and her significant other Justin Powell of Andrews and Amber Causey and her husband Stephen of Summerville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Jayroe and one brother-in-law, Donnie Nance.
