Obituary of Doris Cottingham

Doris Carolyn Campbell Cottingham, wife of Wallace R. Cottingham, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown. Mrs. Cottingham was born on October 18, 1928, in Bethune, SC, a daughter of the late Eddie Dubose and Mamie Rebecca Stewart Campbell. She was a graduate of Winyah High School and a lifelong homemaker. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 65 years are two sons, Ted Wallace Cottingham of Greer and Kevin Mark Cottingham and his wife Angela of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Christopher Devin Cottingham and Nicole Lorraine Cottingham both of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Betty Jean C. Wiggins and her husband Tallie of Andrews; and a brother, Charles Eddie Campbell of Little Rock, AR. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jennings Dubose Campbell. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Summers and Chaplain Billy Miles officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Graham Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
