Annie Virginia Cameron, 97, widow of William Jessie Cameron, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2PM at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Burial in Good Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will immediately follow the service. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Social Distancing will be enforced and masks will be required.
Mrs. Cameron was born in Georgetown, South Carolina on April 16, 1924 to the late Daniel Derrick Goude and the late Mary Sanders Goude. She was a Winyah High School graduate and a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church where she was in the church choir, the adult Sunday school class, and the WMU. Mrs. Annie started her professional career in Mooresville NC at the Mooresville Rayon Mill. From there, she worked with International Paper’s Container Division in Georgetown. Ultimately, she retired from Georgetown Memorial Hospital as a radiology technician, after 35 years of faithful and loving service to her community. Mrs. Annie continued to serve her community in a voluntary capacity as a board member of Helping Hands for over 20 years. She loved her family but will rejoice in God’s promise that those who believe in Jesus Christ will be together in heaven forever.
Mrs. Cameron is survived by four sons, Billy Cameron (Linda), Terry Cameron (Dorothy), all of Georgetown, Charles Cameron of Pawleys Island, Michael Cameron (Diane) of Murrells Inlet; eleven grandchildren, Letitia Yates (Mike) of Georgetown, Molly Marlow (Ben) of Pawleys Island, Holly Cameron of Pawleys Island, Ronnie Cameron of Rocky Point, NC, Ginger Cribb of Raleigh, NC, Cathy Cameron of Georgetown, Terry Len Cameron (Tiffany) of Georgetown, Courtney Bolus (Ashton) of Charleston, Jesse Cameron (Myla) of Pawleys Island, Travis Lathan of Murrells Inlet, and Trina Loomis (David) of Huntersville, NC; twenty one great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Tompkins (Hassie) of Georgetown, Esther Bullard of Mount Pleasant, Ruth Long of Georgetown, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cameron was preceded in death by one son, Paul Cameron; two grandsons, Craig Cameron and Greg Cameron; two brothers, CG Goude and Bethel Goude; three sisters, Lila West, Eadimae Cameron, and Thelma Cribb; and one daughter in law, Felicitia Belk Cameron.
