Betty Skipper Cooper, 76, of Georgetown, SC, passed away on August 31, 2012, at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Cooper was born on September 8, 1935, in Neeses, SC. She was the daughter of the late George Leo Skipper and Omitt Walters Skipper. Mrs. Cooper was a member of Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Seniors Sunday School class. She loved to read, enjoyed cross word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and traveling. Survivors include 2 sons, Keith "Skippy" Branham (Pam) and Jack B. Coker, Jr. both of Georgetown; 4 grandchildren, Winston Chase Downing, Matthew Skipper Branham, Jack B. "Trey" Coker III, and Kelby Drew Branham, all of Georgetown; 2 sisters, Alberta S. Bratcher of Georgetown, Wyllene Skipper of Hot Springs, NC; 2 brothers, William E. Skipper (Mary) of Georgetown and Thomas E. Skipper (Joyce) of Andrews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Jack B. Coker Sr., and William Eugene Cooper; and 2 sisters, Myrtle S. Price and Mary S. Howard. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 2, 2012, at Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church in Georgetown with the Rev. Mr. Lonnie Brazell, Rev. Mr. Clide Glover, Rev. Mr. Billy Miles and Rev. Ms. Wyllene Skipper officiating. The family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 North Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
