Obituary of Dorothy McCutcheon Campbell

Dorothy Mae McCutcheon Prevatte Campbell, 93, widow of Cordie Prevatte and Robert Campbell, passed away on January 25, 2021, at Commander Nursing Home in Florence, South Carolina. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 30, 2021, in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Campbell was born in Lake City, SC on June 17, 1927, to the late Samuel Zollie McCutcheon and the late Bertie Mae Kirby McCutcheon. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Georgetown and retired after a career in sales and management with Sears and Roebuck. Mrs. Campbell is survived by two grandsons, Jason Wooten of Murfreesboro, TN and Kristopher Prevatte of Greenville, SC; one granddaughter, Karina Bovender of Greenville, SC; three great grandchildren, Logan Bovender, Cordie Prevatte, and Ethan Bovender, all of Greenville, SC; a brother, Ronnie McCutcheon of Lake City, SC; a sister, Vivian Herring of Florence, SC, and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Cordie Lajare Prevatte and her siblings, Samuel McCutcheon, Jr., Sarah Anderson, Hermas McCutcheon, Rudolph McCutcheon, and Jack McCutcheon.
