Obituary of William Marvin McConnell

William Marvin McConnell, 59, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11AM in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will immediately follow the service in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Due to Covid-19, masks will be required. Mr. McConnell was born in Georgetown, SC on April 29, 1961 to the late John Calvin McConnell and the late Frances Elizabeth Walstrom McConnell. He was a skilled carpenter and loved fishing and playing ball in his free time. Mr. McConnell was an avid football fan and watched every Redskins and Clemson game he could. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. Mr. McConnell is survived by one daughter, Natalie Nicole McConnell of Georgetown; six sisters, Barbara Cribb of Georgetown, Frances Cohn (Howard) of Andrews, Phyllis Blankenship (Frank) of Georgetown, Diane Rogers (Sammy) of Georgetown, Joyce Barnhill of Georgetown, Donna Kay Shuler (C.L.) of Georgetown; six brothers, Roland Lambert (Connie) of Georgetown, Roy Irvin McConnell of Georgetown, Roger Dale McConnell, Sr. (Paula) of Georgetown, Woody McConnell (Darlene) of Georgetown, Bobby “Louie” McConnell (Monica) of Georgetown, Jeffery “Vince” Vincent of Georgetown; special niece, Louann Jackson of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny McConnell, Henry McConnell, and David McConnell.
