Ruth Walker Zurcher, 76, widow of Wilton “Bud” Zurcher, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 2PM in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Masks are required and social distancing will be enforced. Born in McClellanville, SC on August 21, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Wilson Walker and the late Louise Martin Walker. Mrs. Zurcher attended Victory Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending her free time surrounded by friends and family. Surviving are one son, Wilson P. Zurcher (Pam) of Georgetown; one daughter, Cheryl Z. Drinkwine (Nicholas); five grandchildren, Christopher David Zurcher, Aimee Billings, Brandi Ashby (Chris), Vanessa Zurcher, JaLyn Drinkwine; five great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Laiden, Annie, Palmer Ruth and Andrew; a very special friend, John Oscar Howard of Andrews; a brother, Dorman Kenneth Walker; a best friend/ sister-in-law Marvadean Morris Walker; a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers; Woodrow Walker, James Allen Walker Sr, Benjamin Walker, Wade Hampton Walker, Frank Martin Walker, James Pete Walker and three sisters; Helen Driggers, Janie Yarborough and Linda Walker.
