Obituary of Sarah Creel Wildes

Sarah Martha Creel Wildes, 71, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends at 316 Park Street in Georgetown on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 7pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2PM in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Born on August 5, 1949 in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Chief Commander Creel and the late Emmie Viola Creel Cooper. Mrs. Wildes was a nightclub owner who loved music and singing karaoke. She loved being outdoors and often spent time fishing and gardening. Her home was filled with music and laughter and her children fondly remember growing up laughing and dancing. Surviving are one daughter, Doris Ann Creel Bass (Buddy) of Georgetown; two granddaughters, Sarah Nichole Washam (Sean) of Lexington, NC and Sherri Renee Bryant (Ron) of Andrews, SC; five great grandchildren, three sisters, Virginia Rogers (Clifton) of Georgetown, Rose Ann Armstrong of Johnsonville, SC, and Patsy Weatherford of Georgetown, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl McCall Wildes, Jr.; three sisters, Linda Haselden, Dean Prosser and Maralee Tyler; and two brothers, Bubba Creel and Frank Creel.
