Obituary of Jimmy George Moody

Jimmy George Moody, 72, husband of Bessie Fern Wilson Moody, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Graham Funeral Home from 6PM-8PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 11AM in Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum will immediately follow the funeral service. Born in Riverside, California on June 4, 1948, Mr. Moody was a son of the late Edward Horace Moody and the late Millie Elizabeth Bell Moody. He was the President of Moody’s Mechanical and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed dabbling in the stock market and was a partner in Apple Cool Storage. In his free time, Mr. Moody loved fishing and spending time with friends and family. Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of 47 years are five children, Esther Ward of Georgetown, Eddie Lee McDaniels, Jr. (Tracy) of Tridelphia, WV, Rhonda Navarro (Taft) of Charleston, SC, Tracy Morris (David) of Georgetown, Rhonda McConnell (Mark) of Winchester, CA; ten grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moody was preceded in death by a son, Henry Austin Boers, a granddaughter, Lyndsey McDaniels, and several siblings.
