James Anderson Miller, Sr., 90, husband of Shelby A. Miller, passed away at MUSC on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 11AM at Williams Hill Cemetery. Born in Georgetown County on October 12, 1929, Mr. Miller was a son of the late Girley Sylvester Miller and the late Katherine Rose Langal Miller. He was a United States Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and retired from International Paper Company‘s Laboratory. Mr. Miller was a member of the Indiantown Masonic Lodge 165, AFM and a member of the Lakewood Baptist C.D. Parsons Men’s Sunday School Class. Mr. Miller loved gardening, fishing and spending time with this family. He was very much a family man and his grandchildren were very special to him. Surviving in addition to his wife of 49 years are two sons, James A. Miller “Jamie” Jr. (Ashley) and Joseph E. Miller “Joey” (Ashley); his beloved grandchildren, Makayla Miller, Peyton Miller, Brody Miller; two brothers, John T. Miller (Erma) of Georgetown and Lloyd Miller of Hemingway; two sisters, Florrie Leland (Griffin) of Georgetown and Rose Wall of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lamar Miller. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.org.
