On Sunday December 29, 2019 Clyde J. Davis, 87, passed away peacefully at his residence in Pawleys Island. Born in Niles, California on June 16, 1932, he was the son of the late George Davis and Susie Amaral Davis of Union City, California. Surviving, in addition to his loving wife Kathy of 42 years, are two sons, George Davis and Michael Sargenti, both of California; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and 3 beloved cats. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Cherry Faria and Georgia Paislay. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as a flight engineer during the Korean Conflict. He was later employed for over 30 years by Santa Clara County (California) Public Works Department. He retired and moved to Pawleys Island, South Carolina in 1998 where he enjoyed playing golf, fishing and relaxing on the beach with a book. Clyde loved all animals, but his passion was cats, his own and the feral colony he fed and looked after for many years. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Frances Animal Center at 125 Ridge Street Georgetown, SC 29440.
