Obituary of Dewitt Letterman

Dewitt Letterman, 68, passed away on December 20, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Letterman was born in Marion, North Carolina on October 8, 1951 and was a son of the late Andrew James Letterman and the late Edith Harding Letterman. Mr. Letterman was a retired carpenter who liked working with his hands. When he wasn’t working in his shop, he enjoyed sketching and drawing. Mr. Letterman was a United States Army veteran. He loved spending time surrounded by friends and family. Surviving are one daughter, Deann Letterman Edwards (Charles) of Georgetown, SC; two sons, Dewitt Letterman, Jr. (Rita) of Burnsville, NC and Andrew Letterman of Marion, NC; one granddaughter, Natalie Letterman of Marion, NC; four grandsons, Gage Edwards of Georgetown, SC, Nikki Letterman, Toby Letterman and Tanner Letterman, both of Lincolnton, NC; one sister, Barbara Ann Palmisano; three brothers, David Letterman (Ginger) of Burnsville, NC, Johnny Letterman (Mildred) of Burnsville, NC, and Danny Revonda of Marion, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Frey and two brothers, Wade Letterman and Tommy Letterman.
