Obituary of Evans Weaver

Rev. Evans McNair Weaver, 87, husband of Eunice Budd Weaver, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at his home.
Born on August 14, 1924, in Bennettsville, he was a son of the late John McNair Weaver and the late Maude Evans Weaver. Rev. Weaver was a US Army veteran of WWII and was also a member of the US Coastguard Auxiliary. Rev. Weaver lived to serve his Lord and ministered to people in many different ways to include serving as a missionary in Sicily, Italy. He enjoyed many different things to include working in his yard, fishing, playing the guitar, singing and most of all reading his Bible.
Survivors include his wife of Andrews; four children, James McNair Weaver (Kelly) of Pine Mountain, GA, David Earl Weaver (Cindy) of Woodberry, GA, Rev. Richard Joel Weaver (Joyce) of Andrews and Lois Magdalene Boyd (Harry) of Pine Mountain, GA; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Weaver (La Dawn) of Longview, TX, John Weaver (Margaret) of Spartanburg and Robin Weaver (Della) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three sisters, Ponnie Bailey of Sweeny, TX, Peggy Bishop of Avinger, TX and Mary Scott of Georgetown; and a number of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Evans Weaver; and a brother, Paul Weaver.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at New Hope Fellowship with the Rev. J.W. Casselman and the Rev. Richard J. Weaver officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
