Obituary of Vivian Taylor Mau
Vivian Taylor Mau, 86, widow of Niles Pete Mau, Jr., passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held at Graham Funeral Home on Monday, September 16, 2019 from 6PM-8PM. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 3PM in Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow the service in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Born in Williamsburg County on January 15, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Christopher James “Buster” Taylor and the late Mary Ann “Mamie” Barineau Taylor. She was a member of Maryville Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a nursery teacher for over 20 years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother that loved nothing more than cooking for and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Jay Mau, Janice Mau Poston (Ernie), Bobby Mau (Michele), Chris Mau (Tracy), Annette Mau Skinner (Wright), and Tony Mau, all of Georgetown; two sisters, Shelvia Poston of Andrews and Lila Mary Boley (Bob) of Goose Creek; 23 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Cyndi Mau of Titusville, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Niles Mau; a sister, Dotty Mae Crawford; and a daughter in law, Cheryl Mau.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Home Health And Hospice and their nurses, Courtney Roberts, Janice Beckman, Regina Scott, Sergei Makhenzon, and all of the nurses on 2 Parish of Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
