Obituary of Muriel Cyr

Muriel L. Cyr, 86, widow of Leo C. Cyr, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her home. Born on November 9, 1925, in Dalton, MA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Elser and the late Madeline Bouton Elser. Mrs. Cyr was a member of St. Cyprians Catholic Church and retired from General Electric in Pittsfield, MA after 42 years of service. Survivors include two sons, Michael J. Cyr of Memphis, TN and David L. Cyr and his wife Susan of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Dustin Cyr, Davis Cyr, Nicole Cyr and Sara Cyr all of Georgetown; and a sister, Madeline Conklin of Pittsfield, MA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Leo C. Cyr. A Memorial Mass will be held at 6:30 PM, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at St. Cyprians Catholic Church with Father Ronald J. Ferrell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
