Obituary of William Levie Gaskins

William Levie Gaskins, 60, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Summerville.

A visitation will be held Sunday, December 16, 2018 beginning at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Chris Browder will immediately follow at 2:00 PM.  Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home will conclude in Lambert Cemetery.

Born October 16, 1958, he was a son of the late Earnest Gaskins and Lottie Ackerman Gaskins.

Mr. Gaskins spent many years as a sheetrock hanger.  He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock and Oakland Raiders fan.  He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  Mr. Gaskins also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Surviving are three sons, Scooter Gaskins and his wife, Kristin, of Andrews, Barry Gaskins, and his wife, Kristy of Lambertown, Darrell Gaskins and his wife Kelsey of Lambertown; five grandchildren, Madison, Jaden, Maddox, Manning, and Paislee; two step grandchildren, Austin and Jacob; one sister, Myrtis Burbage and her husband Alvin of Charleston, a brother Eddie Gaskins of Bethera; and numerous other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, brother, Maywood; sisters Earnestine, Christine, Jeanette, Genoise “Wessie”; and nephews Zane, Maywood “Tunken” Jr., and Eddie Jr.
