Obituary of Lawrence Foxworth

Lawrence C. "L.C." Foxworth, Jr., 74, widower of Dottie Miller Foxworth and Brenda Avant Foxworth, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Born on June 10, 1937, in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Lawrence C. Foxworth, Sr. and the late Helen Davis Foxworth. Mr. Foxworth was a member of First Assembly of God and was retired from the Georgetown Steel Mill. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed making people laugh. Survivors include five children, Jerry Foxworth (Norma) of Georgetown, Deborah Tice (Mark) of Georgetown; Judy Shaw (Robert) of Six Mile, SC, Cathy Bryant (Mark) of Andrews and Jeff Foxworth (Samantha) of Georgetown; two step children, Cliff Tompkins (Kim) of Kentucky and Angela Tompkins of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Trent, Bailey, Shelton, Wesley, Cortney, Brooke, Dillon, Dalton, Blaine and Ava Grace; two great grandchildren, Emilee Addison and Anna; and number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry L. Foxworth; one step grandson, Chris McCraw; two brothers, Cecil Foxworth and John Henry Foxworth; and three sisters, Creola Powell, Frances Anderson and Nellie Grace Graham. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Muller and Rev. Jack Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Graham Funeral Home.
