Obituary of Clifford Lee Cribb Jr.
Clifford Lee “C.L.” Cribb, Jr., 75, husband of Peggy Wheeler Cribb, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Colleton Medical Center.
Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Ted Sherrill, will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Georgetown. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. in the church parlor.
Born November 24, 1942 in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Clifford Lee Cribb, Sr. and Verlene Prosser Cribb. Mr. Cribb was a graduate of Winyah High School where he excelled in many sports. He went on to retire from Ford Motor Credit after many years of service. Mr. Cribb was a member of First Baptist Church of Georgetown. He was an avid golfer and Clemson fan. He coached fast pitch softball and was an announcer for Georgetown High School sporting events. In his free time, he loved visiting with friends and family over good meals and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one daughter, Valerie Cribb Sullivan (Nick Drew) of Round O, SC; one son, Brian Lee Cribb (Kylie) of Mount Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, Katelyn Cribb, Chance Sullivan, Peyton Sullivan, Presley Cribb, and 3 step grandchildren, Wyatt Drew, Emma Drew, and Millie Drew; and one nephew, Johnny Cribb of Lexington, SC; one stepdaughter, Diane Rodgers (Johnnie) of Kingstree, SC; one stepson, Darwin Wheeler of Georgetown; two step grandsons, Nathan Wheeler of Georgetown and Jason Wheeler (Emma) of Pawleys Island; one step great granddaughter, Elsie Grace Wheeler.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Raymond Cribb, Sr.
