Obituary of James H Hebden

James H. Hebden, 66, husband of Mary Susanne St. Clair Hebden, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at MUSC after a prolonged illness.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. 

Born in Providence, Rhode Island on October 6, 1950, he was a son of Mrs. Muriel Avis Woodard Hebden and the late Lael Aubrey Hebden, Jr.

Mr. Hebden was a former member of the Smyrna Rotary and an avid fisherman.  He enjoyed history and often visited state parks and historical sites with his wife.  He loved spending time with friends and family and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. 

Surviving in addition to his wife of 32 years and his mother, are one daughter, Melissa Hebden Holley (Gene) of Nashville, TN; one son, James Patrick Hebden (Sharayah Miller) of Murfreesboro, TN; three stepchildren; five grandchildren; one brother, L.A. “Skip” Hebden III (Judi) of Thompson’s Station, TN; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro, TN at 116 N. Academy Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.
