Obituary of Margie Fulton Morris

Margie Fulton Morris, 94, of Georgetown, passed away on February 12th, 2016 at her home in Georgetown, South Carolina, surrounded by family. Born in Andrews, South Carolina on February 25, 1921, Margie’s family was the love of her life. Taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was what filled her heart with joy. Her laugh was endearingly contagious and her smile unforgettable. As an active member of First Baptist Church, Margie’s faith in God shined through her caring ways each day. She loved animals, fishing, working in her garden, sewing, and cooking the best Southern comfort food in town. She was also a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves, always cheering loudly for her favorite player, Chipper Jones. Margie was preceded in death by loving husband, Rufus Morris; her mother, Mortie Lee Ivey Fulton; her father, Davis Durant Fulton; Harry J. Fulton, brother; Ervin L. Fulton, brother; her beautiful sister, Sadie Fulton Roberts; and her talented grandson, David “Dave” Fulton Morris II. She is survived by her son, David Fulton Morris, and her daughter, Wanda Morris, both of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Ashli Urano (Joel) of Dallas, Texas; Josh Goethe (Lauren) of Columbia, South Carolina; Sarah Collins (Jerry Miller) of Asheville, North Carolina; her great grandchildren Justin Dave Morris, Mackenzie Goethe, Addison Goethe, and Jonathan Miller. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 219 Cleland Street, Georgetown, South Carolina.
