Obituary of Roger Jacobs

Roger Edward Jacobs, 69, husband of Joyce Dusenbury Jacobs, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born on September 12, 1942, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Roland Mervin Jacobs and the late Marselle Hildebrand Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs attended Eastside Free Will Baptist Church and retired from International Paper Company after 41 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of Snowmill "Jacobs" Hunting Club. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three daughters, Karen J. Reynolds (Mark) of Marion, Debbie J. Lambert (Curtis) of Georgetown and Cathy J. Harvey (Joe) of Yorktown, VA; and eight grandchildren, Matthew Reynolds, Kristin Reynolds, Jacob Reynolds, Lucas Reynolds, Ethan Lambert, Elliott Lambert, Jimmy Harvey and Jonathan Harvey. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Edward Harvey; and a brother, Jimmy Jacobs. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Haselden officiating. Burial will follow in the Hucksfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Graham Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO BOX 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
