Obituary of Libby B. Taylor

Mrs. Libby Taylor, widow of Donald Taylor, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Prince George Healthcare Center. Born June 18, 1924, Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Willie Nile Blakely and Georgie Rembert Blakely. Mrs. Taylor was a retired retail bookkeeper with over 20 years of service. She was a devoted member of Wayne United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Sue Tarboux Circle. She taught 3rd grade Sunday school as well as Bible school at Wayne UMC. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11am at Wayne United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Surviving are one son, Greg Taylor (Wallis) of Georgetown; two daughters, Paula T. Osborne (Tracy) of Brevard, NC and Kim T. Lingrel (Douglas) of Powell, Ohio; one brother, George M. Blakely (Argerine); seven grandchildren, Honor Taylor Reese (Horace), Betsy Taylor, Donald Taylor, Laurin Osborne, Katie Osborne, Andrew Lingrel, and Evan Lingrel, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Sherry Taylor, her sister Glyndale Morris, and her brothers Virgil Blakely, Willie Nile, and Rembert Blakely. Visitation will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 from 6pm-8pm at Graham Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wayne United Methodist Church at 621 Wayne Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
