Obituary of Heaven LeeAnne Bowers

Heaven LeeAnne Bowers, 16, beloved daughter of Anthony A. Bowers, II and Michelle Anne Bourne Bowers, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015. Heaven was born on August 21, 1998 in Georgetown. She was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a junior at Andrews High School where she excelled in basketball and academics. Heaven was a former student at Waccamaw High School, was a Duke Scholar, received many awards, including an Outstanding Performance Award, and was in the chorus. She enjoyed playing basketball, singing, water skiing, snow skiing and was a dog lover. She is survived by her mother and father of Georgetown; three sisters, Autumn Lambert (Devin) of Georgetown, Amber Potter (Brock) of Florence and Noel Bowers of Georgetown; paternal grandparents, Loretta and Tony Bowers of Andrews; maternal grandparents, Larry Bourne (Carol) of Andrews; paternal great grandmother, Eugenia Crawford of Andrews; two aunts, Tina Mercer (Mitchell) of Georgetown, Tracey Langston (Jack) of Andrews; one uncle, Joey Bourne (Elizabeth) of Andrews; one niece, Hailey Potter; one nephew, Brock Anthony Potter; cousins, Jessica Mixon Wilson, Julia Morris, Dawson Bourne, Caroline Bourne and Laci Mercer; many other special family members and friends; and a special companion that she held close to her heart since preschool, Fluffy. Heaven was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Sharon Bourne; paternal great grandparents, Adam Bowers, Mary Lambert and Monroe Lambert; maternal great grandparents, Herbert Dolin and Herbert Dolin, Caroline Bourne and John Bourne; and a cousin, Jonathan Mixon. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church starting at 6 PM. Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements.
