Obituary of Naydean Thomas Sims

Naydean Thomas Sims, 65, wife of Bernard L. Sims, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born on September 19, 1949, Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of Uldine Lambert Causey and the late John Wallie Thomas. Mrs. Sims was a faithful member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and her Sunday school class. She was the past president of the Girls Auxiliary and the past vice president of the Women’s Auxiliary. Mrs. Sims was a member of the 50 Plus Club, a 1967 graduate of Andrews High School and enjoyed watching and supporting her grandchildren in all of their activities. Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; mother of Georgetown; two children, Wendy Rogers (Stephen) of Georgetown and Freddie Sims (Mindy) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Thomas Rogers, Jonathan Rogers, Jackson Sims, Josie Sims and Brock Sims; a sister, Kathy Larson of Georgetown; two brothers, Dwight Thomas (Debbie) of Georgetown and Brad Thomas (Dianne) of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Holmes Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
