Obituary of Penny Port

Penny Ward Port, 54, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at her home. Born on January 23, 1958, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of Floride Scott Ward and the late Gerald Thomas Ward. Penny was employed by Morningside Assisted Living in Georgetown and the Sea Store and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed working, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She is survived by her mother of Georgetown; two sons, Joseph Ryan Port (Tammy) of Andrews and Jeremy Thomas Port of Texas; four grandchildren, Tyler Jones, Emma Jolee Port, Kaitlyn Port and Haleigh Grace Port; one sister, Nancy W. Cribb (Wayne) of Georgetown; one brother, Richard H. Ward of Georgetown; three nieces, Michelle Thompson, Julie Ward and Nicole Ward; and four nephews, Brian Ward, Blair Cribb, Brandon Ward and Adam Ward. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Wall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Tisdale Cemetery, 4421 Thurgood Marshall Highway, Kingstree, SC 29556. Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements. www.grahamfuneralhome.org
