Obituary of Retha Howard

Retha Mae Howard, 86, widow of Harvey L. Howard, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Prince George Health Care Center. Born on June 1, 1925, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late William Howard and the late Sue Morris Howard. Mrs. Howard was a faithful member of Georgetown Church of God and devoted her life to serving the Lord and taking care of her family. Survivors include five children, Miriam Waggoner of Vidor, TX, Kathy Carter of Georgetown, Marilyn Morris (Steve) of Andrews, Bruce Howard of Crossville, TN, David Howard (Kelly) of Georgetown; eight grandchildren, Andy Howard, Greg Howard, Georgetta Waggoner, Stephanie Cribb, Helen Cribb, Cecil Lockliear, Trent Howard and Corey Howard; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Lonnie Howard (Anne) of Georgetown; and number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Sherwood Howard and Steve Howard; two grandchildren, Brenda Langston and Little Jimmy Carter; one sister, Elnita Howard; and five brothers, Luther Howard, Olin Howard, Eddie Howard, Willie Howard and Leland Howard. Funeral Services will be held at 3PM Monday, February 13, 2012 at Georgetown Church of God with the Rev. Elmer Lambert and the Rev. Allen Hoven officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday at Graham Funeral Home. Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements. www.grahamfuneralhome.org
