Obituary of Barry Larand Ray

Barry Larand “Randy” Ray, 56, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on April 20, 1958, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Lloyd Ray and Janet Bellflower Ray Lambert. Mr. Ray was a member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church and was the owner of Southern Metal Fabricators. He enjoyed cooking and collecting guns and knives. Survivors include his mother of Georgetown; two sons, Brandon Ray and Justin Ray both of Conway; two grandchildren, Cassy Ray and Isabella Ray both of Conway; a brother, Ronny Ray of Pawleys Island; one nephew, Christopher Ray; and two nieces, Schyler Ray and LeeAnn Ray. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kerry Ray. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Georgetown First Assembly of God with Rev. Scott Altman and Rev. Eddie Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Georgetown First Assembly of God.
