Obituary of Karen Oyler Van Vlake

Karen Lou Oyler Van Vlake, 75, wife of O. Richard Van Vlake, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at her home.
Born on April 23, 1939, in Richwood, WV, she was a daughter of the late Harry Oyler and the late Marjorie Lou Higginbotham Oyler. Mrs. Van Vlake enjoyed many things in life to include traveling to Las Vegas and Cherokee, crocheting, shopping, cooking and listening to Barry Manilow. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her husband of Myrtle Beach; four children, Allison Van Vlake of Georgetown, Lisa Van Vlake Rowe of Pawleys Island, Denise Van Vlake Judy of Conway, and Eric Van Vlake of Myrtle Beach; six grandchildren, Angel Whalen (Brian) of Myrtle Beach, Kristen Rowe of Pawleys Island, Megan Judy of Charlotte, NC, Erica Judy of Myrtle Beach, Chris Davis of Myrtle Beach and Lauren Edwards of Georgetown; two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Layla of Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Ann Robertson of Pawleys Island and Sherry Taylor (Eric) of Georgetown; two brothers, James “Teedie” Oyler (Marcheta) of Eufaula, AL and Johnny Oyler (Rhonda) of Savannah, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
