Obituary of Shirley Garrison Woodyard

Shirley Garrison Woodyard, 77, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Myrtle Beach Estates. Born on July 23, 1936, in Portland, TN, she was a daughter of the late Stephen E. Garrison and the late Drucilla Douglas Garrison. Ms. Woodyard was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Camden where she was a member of the “The Silvertones Choir” and the Faith Sunday School Class 4. She was a graduate of Camden High School. Survivors include three children, K. Woody Simpson (Dwaine) of Myrtle Beach, Cynthia Conner (Dennis) of Chicago, IL and Robert H. Woodyard (Vivian) of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Matthew Woodyard (Tara) and Noah Woodyard all of Greenwood and Bethany Woodyard of Bluffton; two great grandchildren, Lyndsey Woodyard and Matt Woodyard both of Greenwood; four nephews, Ricahrd McManus, Ronnie McManus and Donnie McManus all of Columbia and Steve McManus of Camden; a brother in law, Dickie McManus of Camden; and a special friend, Carolyn Rabon of Camden. She was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia McManus; and one brother, Donald Garrison. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
