Willie Jane Lambert Gray, 73, wife of Jessie Donald Gray, Sr., passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her daughter’s home.
Born on December 20, 1937 in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Archie W. Lambert, Sr. and the late Josie Ruth Ray Lambert. Mrs. Gray was a member of St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church was retired seamstress with Oneita Industries. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Joey Gray (Etta) and Jamie Gray (Carolyn); two daughters, Julie Pope (Dean) and Jennifer Gray (Timmy); three sisters, Mackie Pope, Brenda Nesbitt and Sharon Hearl; two brothers, Douglas Lambert and Rev. Paul Lambert; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son; Jessie "Donnie" D. Gray, II; and two brothers, Archie Lambert, Jr. and David Lambert.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Monday, August 29, 2011 at St. Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Thad Jacobs and Rev. Paul Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Sunday at Graham Funeral Home.
