Obituary of Teresa Hewitt

Teresa Lynn Harrelson Hewitt, 61, wife of Willie C. Hewitt passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on February 11, 1950, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late John B. Harrelson and the late Bobbie Mae Butler Harrelson. Mrs. Hewitt was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church. She was retired from First Citizens Bank and was employed by the Georgetown Times for many years. Mrs. Hewitt enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, the mountains and listening to birds. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; step-mother, Frances Harrelson of Georgetown; three children, Chuck Bass (Donna), Angie Carroll (Chris) and Scott Bass all of Georgetown; a step-daughter, Cindy Howard of Georgetown; a step-son, William Hewitt of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren, Taylor Lynn Bass, Brandon McConnell, Austin McConnell, Dillon Taylor, Kelsey Lynn Taylor, Summer Taylor, Bailey Lynn Bass, Haley Bass, B.J. Howard and Brittany Lynn Howard; a brother, Larry Harrelson (Sandy) of Columbia; a sister, Pam Jernigan (Bob) of Georgetown; a niece, Julia Hendrick (Judson); three nephews, Andrew Jernigan, Collins Harrelson and Wellons Harrelson; and a number of other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Wayne Harrelson; and maternal grandmother, Dessie Healon. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 in the Graham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Giles officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Graham Funeral Home. The family would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Daisy Lambert and Mrs. Debbie Talbert for the loving care they provided for Mrs. Hewitt.
