Obituary of Dessie Healan

Dessie "Pat" J. Healan, 96, wife of Franklin Healan, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Born on September 3, 1914 in Horry County she was the daughter of the late Steve Collins and the late Addie Strickland. Mrs. Healan was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years being most active in her younger years. She was a member of the Platt Sunday School class and was past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Winyah Chapter 148.
Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; three daughters, Lisa Warren (Brian) of Myrtle Beach, Betty Wilson of Andrews and Blinda Hutchinson (L.B.) of Georgetown; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and a number of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, William "Bill" Butler; a daughter, Bobbie M. Harrelson; a step-son, Larry Healan; and a step-daughter, Wanda H. Britt.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Linny Gasque and the staff of Tidelands Community Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
