Obituary of Calvin Jones

Calvin Marshall Jones Sr., 64 of Andrews, beloved husband of Faye R. Jones, father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 21st 2011 at his residence in Andrews. Mr. Jones was born the son of the late John Kelly Jones and Cora Marie (Richardson) Jones on December 6, 1946 in Horry County. He completed a tour in Vietnam while serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Harper Masonic Lodge #225 of Andrews, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1982, a member of the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Survivors, in addition to his wife of Andrews are: one daughter Glenda Jones Gause (Stanley) of Andrews; three sons Marshall Kelly Jones (Arasheilla Yumul) of Georgetown; Calvin M. Jones Jr. (Christina Jones) of Texas; Coy M. Jones (Demetria Solis) of Texas, 7 grandchildren, Kyle J. Jones, Austin Jones, Makenze Jones, Makeilla A. Jones, Waylon D. Jones, Mason Jones, and Cora Marie Jones. He had two brothers, Roland L. Jones (Linda) and John L. Jones (Kellie). He had two sisters Luciene McConnell (Johnny) and Ruby Campbell (Ronnie), and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepmother Mary Vause Jones and one brother Earl Vause. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 25, 2011 in Liberty Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the S & G Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Thursday at the home, 220 Squire Road Andrews, SC. The family would like to express their gratitude to Linda Wolf attending nurse for her compassion and comfort over the past two years.
