Laurita Tanner Cribb, 88, widow of Roger B. Cribb, Sr., died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on September 22, 1922 in Georgetown County she was a daughter of the late Admiral Tanner, Sr. and the late Ottie Tindall Tanner. Mrs. Cribb attended Center Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Atlantic Coast Life Insurance Company and Manning Insulators. Survivors include three sons, John R. Cribb, Sr. (Mary) of Georgetown, Roger B. Cribb, Jr. (Benita) of Florence, MS and Michael L. Cribb, Sr. (Carol) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, John R. Cribb, Jr. (Kim) of Memphis, TN, Lauren Cribb of Austin, TX, Christina Cribb of Florence, MS, Ellison Cribb (Anna) of St. George and Maj. Michael Cribb, Jr. (Holly) of Ft. Leavenworth, KS; six great grandchildren, Jackson Cribb, Brandon Cribb, James Michael Cribb, Sarah Revill, Brandon Revill, and Lauren Motschman; and four sisters, Carol Jones of Wilmington, NC, Betty Gleason of Marion, Willie Dean Thomas of Myrtle Beach and Elaine Wynn of Georgetown. She was preceded in death by one sister, Hazel Kathleen Oyler; and four brothers, Carl Tanner, Admiral Tanner, Jr., Robert Winfred Tanner and Marsden Tanner. Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2011 in the Center Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Rick Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Graham Funeral Home.
