Obituary of Cecil Foxworth

Cecil Edward Foxworth, Sr., 85, husband of Eloise S. Foxworth died Wednesday March 9, 2011 at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born on September 23, 1925 in Hemingway he was a son of the late Lawrence Chesley Foxworth and the late Helen Alice Davis Foxworth. Mr. Foxworth was a member of Georgetown First Assembly of God where he served as a deacon. He was a WWII US Army veteran having served in the European Theatre from 1944 to 1946 and retired from International Paper Company after 40 years of service. Survivors include his wife of Pawleys Island; one son, Cecil E. Foxworth, Jr. (Judy) of Anderson; two daughters, Harriett Harrelson (Frank) of Vidalia, GA and Dr. Pam Swanson (Randy) of Westminster, CO; six grandchildren, Chris Foxworth (Tanya), Regina Shaw (John), Dollie Branson (Jason), Kitty Lariscey (Matt), Valene Beasley (Calvin) and Tiffany Ray; nine great grandchildren, Crystal Beck, Morgan Foxworth, Deacon Shaw, Felicity Shaw, Chance Branson, Abbie Branson, Melanie Lariscey, Madelyne Lariscey and Ella Beasley; one great-great grandchild, Brogan Beck; and one brother, L.C. Foxworth, Jr. He was predeceased by one brother, John Henry Foxworth; and three sisters, Creola Powell, Frances Anderson and Nellie Grace Graham. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Georgetown First Assembly of God with the Rev. Dave Hoskins officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at Georgetown First Assembly of God. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
