Obituary of Noah Jacobs

Noah Edward Jacobs, 88, husband of Stella Gore Jacobs died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Medical University of South Carolina. Born on November 14, 1922 in Tabor City, NC he was a son of the late W.E. Jacobs and the late Elma Jenrette Jacobs. He was a member of Screven Baptist where he severed as a deacon and was a former Sunday school teacher. Mr. Jacobs was a US Navy veteran of WWII and was retired from the Georgetown School District as a school bus supervisor. Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; a son, Robert "Eddie" Jacobs of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; special friends, Levon and Daisy Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother. Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 17, 2011 at Screven Baptist Church with the Rev. Kirby Winstead and Rev. Jason Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Screven Baptist Church, P.O.
