Obituary of Vera Springs

Vera Ellen Lambert Springs, 66, wife of James J. "Jimmy" Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on April 7, 1947, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Fields Lambert and the late Lena Hartley Lambert. Mrs. Springs was a woman of Faith and lived each day to serve her Lord. She was a member of Georgetown Church of God and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; two children, Alton "Al" Sanders (Kim) of Georgetown and Wendy Martinez (Edward) of Kingsland, GA; four grandchildren, Little Al Sanders and Ryan Northrup both of Georgetown and Christian Martinez and Maygen Martinez both of Kingsland, GA; four great grandchildren, Kylee, Ryan Jr., Abigail and Lillyanne; three brothers, Charles Lambert, Basil Lambert and Junior Lambert; five sisters, Earnestine Bryant, Nita Hanser, Mary Tilton, Vivian Bazen and Shirley Tyler; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton Sanders, Jr. Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Georgetown Church of God with the Rev. Ossie Deese and Rev. Edward Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in the Sampit United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Graham Funeral Home.
