Obituary of Wendell Lambert

Wendell Delon Lambert, 53, entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on April 4, 1958, in Georgetown, he was a son of Mary Estell Lambert, who will dearly miss her precious boy, and the late Cicero Lambert. Mr. Lambert was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and served in the South Carolina National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was always willing to lend a helping hand to people in need. Survivors include his loving mother, Mary Estell Lambert of Georgetown; step father, Hilburn Collins of Georgetown; three children, Dewayne Lambert and his wife Casey of Whitesville, April Edwards and her husband Travis of Myrtle Beach and Evert Lambert of Georgetown; two sisters, Margie Wilson and Vina Mae Hammond both of Georgetown; two brothers, Cleaveland Lambert and Kevin Lambert both of Georgetown; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Lambert and Gerald Lambert. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Christ Browder and Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM – until on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
