Obituary of Linda Scott

Linda Ann McClary Scott, 70, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at her home. Born on April 27, 1943, in Kingstree, she was a daughter of Mary Magdalene Bowles McClary and the late Joseph Zeno McClary. Mrs. Scott was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and retired from International Paper Company after more than 30 years of service. Survivors include her mother of Georgetown; three children, Lisa Johnson (Joey) of Georgetown, Jerry Scott of Florence and Robin Bech (Chris) of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Jeremy Scott, Abbey Bech and Joseph Bech; four step grandchildren, Ryan, Breanna, Billy and Brittany; a sister, Betty Burch (Richard) of Lake City; a brother, Richard McClary of Columbia; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special family friend, Herman McCray of Georgetown. Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Monday, November 25, 2013 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Deeter officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440.
