Obituary of Marjorie Oyler

Marjorie Lou Higginbotham Oyler, 93, widow of Harry Oyler, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on December 14, 1918, in Sutton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Glen Higginbotham and the late Lulu Lombard Higginbotham. Mrs. Oyler a member of Wayne United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include five children, James Oyler (Marcheta) of Eufaula, AL, Karen Van Vlake (Richard) of Myrtle Beach, Ann Robertson of Pawleys Island, Sherry Goldston of Georgetown and John Oyler (Rhonda) of Savannah, GA; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Higginbotham. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday, January 6, 2011 in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, 2951 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC. Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements. www.grahamfuneralhome.org
