Obituary of Susan Harrelson

Susan Owens Harrelson, 85, widow of Leland Saltas Harrelson, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Born on May 20, 1928, in Hemingway, she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. Owens and the late Vendel O. Owens. Mrs. Harrleson was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and attended several local churches, most recently Screven Baptist Church where she was a member of the Deborah Sunday school class.
Survivors include three children, Alice Faye Carl (Joe), Donnie Harrelson (Jennifer) and Teresa Christian (James) all of Georgetown; five grandsons, Allen Carl (Leslie) and Steven Carl (Lisa) both of Georgetown, Matt Carl (Shay) of Columbia, Derik Harrelson (Susan) of Georgetown and Dustin Harrelson (Christy) of Green Sea; and six great grandchildren, John Allen Carl, Kay –Kay Carl, Tyler Carl, Leland Carl, Devan Harrelson and Maddie Harrelson all of whom will dearly miss her.
She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Christopher Carl; and a brother, Lamar Owens.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 11, 2013 at Screven Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Williams and Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday at Graham Funeral Home.
